George proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, where he was stationed with the Berlin Brigade. After his military service, George returned to his roots in South Carolina, where he became a cherished member of his community.
George's legacy is carried on by his loving family: his brother Johnny Ballenger; his sister Linda Johnson; his sons Michael Ballenger (Peggy) and Phillip Ballenger (Sandra); and his adored granddaughter, Abigail Ballenger. Each of them will remember George for the strength, love, and laughter he brought into their lives.
