George Haworth passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on April 9, 1965, George will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend whose presence brought humor, warmth, and companionship to those around him.

For many years, George worked as a supervisor for Steel Works of the Carolinas. He was known as a man who valued hard work and commitment. Outside of work, he enjoyed watching sports and especially treasured spending time with his family. George was also known for his playful spirit and for always giving everyone a hard time in a joking way, a quality that brought laughter and lightness to many moments shared with him.

At the heart of George’s life was his family. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Haworth, his partner of 43 years. He also leaves behind his son, James Ferguson(Crystal); his daughter, Tasha Haworth; and his beloved grandchildren, Destiny Ferguson, James Ferguson, and Kaylee Lytle. He is also survived by his sisters, Nancy Haworth and Maryann O'Donald; his cousin, Glenda Lewis; and his brother-in-law, Randy Ferguson.

George’s life was also enriched by the friendships he held over the years. He is survived by his friends Chuck Thompson, Dale Shirley, Tyjuan Dail, Singh Surjit, Mike Allen, Michelle Holdorf, Chad Kelly, and Megan Terrell, all of whom were part of the circle of people who knew and cared for him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Haworth; his father, George Haworth; and his brother, James Haworth.

George Haworth will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love of sports, his deep connection to family, and his unmistakable sense of humor. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the many stories and smiles he leaves behind.
