Glenda Davis, a beacon of kindness and humor, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 68, in Easley, South Carolina. Born on May 5, 1957, in the quaint town of Pickens, South Carolina, Glenda's life was a testament to her selfless nature and her boundless love for her family and the simple pleasures of life.
She is survived by her devoted children, Michele Davis (Melissa Arms), and Michael Davis, who alongside River Davis and Rain Davis, brought immense joy to her life. Glenda's sisters, Sharon Blacklock, (Roger), and Regina Rampey (Darel), will remember her as a pillar of strength and love within the family. Her nieces, Andrea Ray, Kim Whisenhunt, and Crystal Shelton (Scott) and their children Caitlyn, Mary-Katherine, and Nicholas, will hold dear the cherished memories they created with their Aunt Glenda. Her life was preceded by the passing of her parents, Clyde and Betty McCollum, and her sister Joyce McCollum.
Glenda's professional journey was marked by an impressive 51-year career, during which she became an integral part of her work community. Her colleagues will remember her as a dedicated and reliable presence, ever ready with a smile and a helping hand. Her retirement in 2024 was celebrated as the culmination of a career spent in service to others.
An avid lover of the world's beauty, Glenda found solace in sightseeing, cherishing the views from the mountains. She was a familiar face in local thrift shops, where she delighted in discovering hidden treasures. The time spent with her grandchildren and extended family was, without doubt, what Glenda treasured most. Her laughter and light-hearted spirit made every family gathering a joyous occasion.
Those who knew Glenda would describe her as the epitome of kindness. Her selflessness was evident in the way she lived her life, always considering the wellbeing of others before her own. Her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
We are reminded of the warmth and affection Glenda brought into our lives. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on through the stories shared by friends and family, and the countless lives she touched. Glenda's journey on earth may have come to a close, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light to those she leaves behind.
