Gloria Jean Garrett, affectionately known as Jean, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at St. Francis Downtown. Born on September 8th, 1958, in Greenville SC, she was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her.

Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Kelli, sons Christopher (Shonte) and Rico, and her cherished grandchildren Cleveland, Tyra, Tyquiz, Keyshawn, Santez, Danielle, Aaliyah, and Kendrick. She is also survived by her siblings Curtis Duckett (Elder Brenda Duckett), Minnie D, and Charles A Jones, along with her last surviving uncle, David Duckett. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Bishop Rufus and Pastor Lillie Ruth Duckett Davis, and her siblings Alonzo Davis, Kenneth Thompson, and Ruby Mitchell.

Jean’s wisdom and warmth filled the role of housewife with grace and dedication. Her love for music and singing brought joy to many, and her presence was a source of comfort and laughter.

Jean will be remembered as a loving, funny, and friendly soul, whose generosity and kindness touched the lives of many. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Jeans memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and love she leaves behind.

Processional will include pastor Keith Robinson of New Ministries, prayer Elder Brenda Duckett will do scripture.
