Harold E Herrington

Harold E. Herrington, 71, passed away on October 20, 2025, outside of Greenville, South Carolina.

Born in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, on January 9, 1954, Harold was the son of the late Harold E. and Sylvia A. Herrington. He began his professional career with Gulf Oil before transitioning into technology sales, where he spent many years with companies including Digital Equipment Corporation, Pioneer Standard Electronics, and IBM. Later in life, Harold made his home in Bluffton, South Carolina, where he lived for more than seventeen years and worked at Moss Creek Plantation in Hilton Head.

Harold enjoyed life’s simple pleasures — hunting and fishing with his son and brothers, riding his Harley-Davidson, and spending time at his beloved cottage at Seven Springs, a place that held many cherished memories for his family. He was known for his mechanical ability and could fix just about anything, always lending a helping hand to friends and family in need.

He is survived by his daughter, Dina (Brian), and her children, Allison, Josh, and Gionni; his son, J.R. (Samantha), and their son, Jameson; his sister, Nancy (the late Frank), and her daughters, Tania and Christina (Bob); his brother, Jeffrey, and his daughters, Natalie (Brian) and Elizabeth (Logan); and by his late brother, Scott, and Scott’s widow, Anita. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life. Harold will be laid to rest beside his beloved parents at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania.
