IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry James
Chin
February 9, 1950 – February 6, 2026
Henry James Chin, cherished by all who knew him, passed away on February 6, 2026. Born on February 9, 1950, in Flushing, NY, Henry spent his formative years in a vibrant community filled with love and family. His spirit and dedication to his work in print production defined his career until his well-deserved retirement.
Henry found joy in the simplest things in life. His interest in fishing at Prospect Park lake as a youngster carried over into adulthood. Henry had an impressive memory, especially when it came to old movies and old songs which he loved to reminisce with others. As a "member of the Sterling Place gang", Henry showed his athleticism playing handball and basketball with his brothers and neighborhood friends. His greatest joy was to bargain hunt, not for himself, but to give to others.
He is survived by his beloved son, Christopher Chin, who carries forward his legacy of kindness and resilience. Henry also leaves behind his siblings: Betty, Judy, Eddy, George, Mary, Juliana, Suezanna, Theresa, Stephen, and Patricia, and his many nieces and nephews.
Henry was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Quin, who laid the foundation for the values he held dear throughout his life, and his brother, William, whose memory continues to inspire those left behind.
As we reflect on the life of Henry James Chin, we remember a man who brought laughter with his sarcastic humor, joy, wisdom, and love into the lives of many. His legacy will endure in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding us all to treasure the little moments and cherish our connections with one another.
