Listen to Obituary

Jackelean Johnson Dressner, affectionately known as Jackie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 64. Born on June 29, 1961, in Lancaster, SC, Jackie was a beacon of love and selflessness throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she met with her fierce spirit.

Jackie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Dressner, her parents, James and Vangalean Johnson, and her brothers, David and Richard Johnson. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her son, Joseph "Joey" Dressner, her life partner and best friend, Charelton "Dea" Bagwell, and her siblings, Christine Burrell, Jerri Head, Irene Johnson, and Shirley Raffalt. Jackie's memory will also be treasured by her many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a multitude of friends who will miss her dearly.

A devoted mother and a friend to all, Jackie's passion for life was evident in everything she did. Her love for the beach was unmatched, and she found joy in the simple pleasure of feeling the sand between her toes and listening to the rhythm of the waves. Jackie's love for her son, Joey, was the cornerstone of her existence, and she embraced every moment of motherhood with open arms and a full heart.

Jackie's zest for life shone through in her hobbies. She had a special place in her heart for her dog, "Sugar," who was her constant companion and source of comfort. Her love for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson, was more than just a pastime; it was a reflection of her free spirit and adventurous soul. Jackie also found joy in music and movement, often singing and dancing as if no one was watching. A frequent card player, Jackie enjoyed the fun times and friendly competition that came with a good game. Her laughter and playful banter during these games will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of joining her at the table.

Jackie's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness and strength, as she was a strong woman, a force to be reckoned with. Her selfless nature was evident in the way she cared for others, always putting their needs before her own. Her gentle touch and warm embrace were sources of comfort to many, and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.

As we say goodbye to Jackie, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and cherished moments. Her warrior spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and her memory will be a treasure locked within our hearts forever. Jackie's departure from this world leaves a void that can never be filled, but her influence will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, dear Jackie, until we meet again.
