Jacqualine E. Neely

December 23, 1956 — March 24, 2024

Greenville, SC

Jacqualine E. "Jackie E." Neely, a beacon of wisdom and intelligence, graced this world with her presence on December 23, 1956, in Easley, SC, and departed on March 24, 2024, in Greenville, SC, leaving behind a legacy of faith and love. Jackie, a lifelong learner and a pillar of her community, was known for her unwavering faith and her ability to impart wisdom to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Jackie was the beloved daughter of the late Thelma Phillips and Jack Elgin, and she carried the lessons of her upbringing with her throughout her life. Her journey was shared with her late husband, George W. Neely, with whom she built a family and a home filled with laughter, learning, and love. Jackie's legacy continues through her cherished children, John David Griffith III and his wife Crystal, Tecia Leigh Anders, and Devin Christopher Neely. Her brothers, John and Glenn Elgin, remember her as a guiding light in their lives, while she is preceded in death by her brother Jack Elgin.

A proud and devoted mother and sibling, Jackie's greatest joy was found in the smiles and achievements of her grandchildren: Chesney, Makayla, Jacob, Cannion, Eyan, Ania, Lyrea, Jack, Destiny, and Jamie. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her great-grandchildren, Aubrilee, Azylah, Cruz, Oaklyn, Sawyer, and Kaiden, who will grow up hearing tales of their great-grandmother's strength and grace.

Jackie's life was marked by her dedication to the Greenville, SC Moose Lodge, where she was not only a lifetime member but also a source of inspiration and camaraderie. Her involvement with the lodge was just one of the many ways she connected with her community and shared her generous spirit.

Those who knew Jackie would describe her as faith-filled, wise, and intelligent. Her guidance was sought by many, and her advice was always given with love and a deep understanding of the human spirit. Jackie's intelligence was not just academic; it was also emotional, allowing her to navigate life's challenges with grace and to support others in doing the same.

As we say goodbye to Jackie E. Neely, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished as a treasure that continues to give. Jackie's story is not one of an ending but rather a beautiful chapter in the ongoing story of a family and community enriched by her spirit.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Jackie E. Neely was a guiding star in the lives of many, and though she has set on her earthly journey, her light remains, guiding us from above. Let us hold her in our hearts and remember the wisdom she shared, the faith she inspired, and the love she gave so freely. Jackie's journey continues through each of us as we carry forward the lessons and love she bestowed upon us.
