James Barry Ashe, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on April 12, 2026. Born on July 10, 1959, James led a life marked by unwavering faith, kindness, and a dedication to those he loved.
James was a contractor within the construction industry, where his passion and selfless work ethic earned him the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional life, James was known for his warm personality—loving, funny, and faith-filled. His humor and heartfelt nature enriched the lives of everyone who knew him.
A man of many interests, James found joy in playing the drums both for his personal enjoyment and as a meaningful contribution to his church community. His love of the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for hunting and fishing, activities that brought him peace and connection with nature.
James is survived by his wife, Sandy Ashe, children, Bailee Ashe, Chad Ashe (Cassandra), Jonathan Ashe, Amanda Brown (Bob), and Tiffany Clark (Eric); and a cherished circle of ten grandchildren who brought great joy to his life. He also leaves behind his mother, Patricia Ann Ashe; his brother Terry Ashe and his wife Vickie; and his sister Sonya Smith and her husband Allen.
James was preceded in death by his father, James J. Ashe, and his brother Tracy Ashe, and stepson Aaron Riddle, whose memories remain a treasured part of his life.
The impact James had on his family and community was profound. His legacy of love, laughter, and faith will endure in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared their lives with him.
