James Taylor Burnett, 74, of Greenwood, passed away July 19, 2022 at his home. Born in Greenwood, SC, he was a son of the late Ray Taylor Burnett and Dorothy Mae Shaw Burnett.
He was predeceased by his wife, Deborah Burnett; and one son, Jim Burnett.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Langley; two brothers, Curtis Burnett, and Albert Burnett; one sister, Jean Burnett; four grandchildren, Cody, Lauren, Jamie, and Jon; and four great-grandchildren.
He was of the Methodist faith, and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. James enjoyed rabbit hunting, gardening, and especially spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Band of Brothers Clubhouse, 219 Shaun Road, Greenwood, SC; officiated by Dennis Reynolds and Jay Pruitt.
