James Samuel Ford, 67, formerly of Honea Path, died Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House. He leaves behind a wife, Martha, of Anderson, and a son, Danny (Mandy) of Pelzer. Also surviving is one sister, Faye Putnam, of Rocky Mount NC, along with several nieces and nephews. Sammy was predeceased by his parents, Morgan and Virginia Ford, and siblings Bobby Ford, Jimmy Ford, Leon Ford, Cathy Ford, Jack Ford, and Carl Ford. He was formerly employed in the mixing room at Wilson Sporting Goods and he served in the Navy during Viet Nam. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 3pm at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Pelzer. The family is at 311 Simpson Rd, Apt D-5, Anderson SC 29621.
