James Patrick 'JP' Hughes, Jr., 60, beloved husband of Linda Fennell Hughes, passed away November 11, 2015. Born in Hialeah, FL, JP was a son of the late James Patrick, Sr. and Julia Elizabeth Lucas Hughes. He was a career police officer in Atlanta, GA; and was a gifted drummer in many groups, including Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, James Patrick Hughes, III, Jennifer Holland, Anna Hughes, and John Dustin Hughes; and three grandchildren, Jaylen, Summer, and Leland. Predeceased was a brother, Fred Hughes.
