James Andrew Nickles

James Andrew Nickles, known affectionately as Jimmy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in his hometown of Greenville, SC, at the age of 73. Born on June 23, 1952, in the same close-knit community, Jimmy lived a life marked by kindness, friendliness, and a remarkable aptitude for all things hands-on.

Jimmy's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife, Margaret Nickles, and their cherished daughter, Allison Nickles, who both survive him. His loving presence will also be deeply missed by his brothers, Charles Nickles, who is married to Tracey, and Kenneth Nickles, who is married to Barbara. He was a respected brother-in-law to Ann Nickles, widow of his predeceased brother George "Mack" Nickles. The memory of his late brother, Robert "Bobby" Nickles, will remain intertwined with Jimmy's legacy. A favorite uncle, he leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Jimmy's passion for the outdoors was a defining aspect of his character. He was happiest when he was immersed in nature, whether he was waiting patiently in a hunting blind or casting a line into the water in hopes of catching Flounder at the beach.
