James F. Rollins, known affectionately as "Jimmy" by his friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, at the age of 76 in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on July 20, 1948, in Salisbury, Maryland, Jimmy's life was marked by his unwavering kindness, his infectious sense of humor, and his selfless nature, which touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Jimmy proudly served his country as a Navy veteran, a chapter of his life that instilled in him a deep sense of duty and honor, traits that he carried with him long after his service ended. Following his time in the Navy, he built a distinguished career, retiring from Hollingsworth, where his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident to all.

Jimmy's passion for the outdoors was unmistakable. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding solace and joy in the serenity of nature. His love for working on cars was well known, and he could often be found in his garage, tinkering with engines and sharing his mechanical wisdom with anyone who shared his interest.

Those who knew Jimmy were fortunate enough to experience his loving nature firsthand. His quick wit and sense of humor were a source of constant joy, and his laughter was contagious. Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Kim Cantrell (Joey) and Karen Couch; his grandchildren, Nathan Cantrell (Mikayla), Dakota Cantrell, and Michelle Frazier; and his great-grandsons, Braxton Kocher and Tanner Cantrell. His deceased parents Jackson Rollins Jr. and Lou Toney Rollins. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Jeanne Cofer, and his brothers, Jerry Rollins (Sandi) and William Rollins (Gail), who will miss him dearly.

Jimmy's life was one of connection and community, as evidenced by the relationships he built and maintained throughout his years. His presence was a comforting constant in the lives of his loved ones, and his impact will continue to be felt long after his passing.
