James dedicated nearly three decades of his life to the polishing department at T&S Brass, where his commitment and hard work were well recognized. He was not only a valued employee but also a friend to many, known for his willingness to lend a hand and share a smile.
A passionate fan of NASCAR racing, James found joy in the thrill of the race and the camaraderie of fellow fans. His love for the outdoors was evident in the garden, which was a testament to his patience and care. James cherished his vacations to the mountains, a place where he felt at peace and could indulge in his love for fishing, surrounded by nature's beauty.
James's family was the cornerstone of his life. He was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, April Southerland, and a loving father to his daughters, Ashley Harris and Kristin Hernandez, and his son, Anthony Rogers. Though he was preceded in death by his sister Theresa Bryson, brother Daryl Southerland, and daughter Allison Southerland, James's memory will be carried on by his surviving sisters, Donna Helton, Cindy Brown, and Sheila Jamison.
Those who knew James will remember him as a man who lived his life with kindness and generosity. His gentle demeanor and loving presence created a warmth that filled every room. James's legacy is one of love and selflessness, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
