James Roy "Jimmy" Turner

James "Jimmy" Roy Turner, born March 11, 1952, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026.

Jimmy will be remembered for his remarkable skills and dedication to his craft. Throughout his life, he worked as a pipefitter and welder, earning the respect of those who knew him for his work ethic and precision. Jimmy’s talents extended beyond his profession; his hands were rarely still, always at work as an all-around handyman and as a craftsman in woodworking. His joy for life was evident in the time he spent with friends and in his many hobbies. Jimmy found happiness in music, especially when playing his guitar and banjo. The sound of those strings brought light and laughter to gatherings. He enjoyed friendly games of bowling and cherished moments spent playing cards with friends. These activities reflected his warm spirit and the ease with which he welcomed others into his circle. Jimmy was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ina Lou Stockton Turner. He also mourned the loss of his parents, Albert Turner Sr. and Della Mae Fox Turner, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister Geraldine Hyatt (Jimmy).Those who knew Jimmy will remember him as a hardworking man with a gentle soul, whose kindness and generosity touched many lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but the legacy of his craftsmanship, music, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who cherished him.
