James Richard Yarnell

James Richard Yarnell, 70, of Greer, South Carolina, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025 after a decade long battle with Parkinsons disease. His funeral service will be private. Burial will take place in Greensburg, PA at a later date. James was born April 27, 1955 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, son of the late Marjorie Miller Yarnell and the late Charles Yarnell. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Jim was a devoted Panther fan and loved the Steelers. He will long be remembered as a skilled builder and a lover of Apple technology.

He is survived by his sister, Deborah Campbell of North Augusta, SC; brother Charles N. Yarnell (Lynn) of Hackettstown, NJ, and Ronald L. Yarnell (Toni Ann) of Bluffton, SC; three nephews: Garret Lipecky (Stephanie) of North Augusta, SC, Lee Yarnell of Cartersville GA, and Brandon Yarnell (Natalie) of Hoschton GA; If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Lutheran Hospice at lutheranhospice.org/donate.
