Janie Loftis, a beloved and cherished member of her community, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on February 14, 1975, in Pelzer, South Carolina, Janie lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of those around her.

Janie was known for putting everyone before herself, demonstrating an extraordinary capacity for selflessness and love throughout her life. Her open-minded nature and infectious laughter brought joy to many, and she carried a spirited, funny personality that uplifted friends and family alike. She possessed a loving and kind heart and was renowned for her generosity, qualities that defined her interactions and enduring relationships.

Janie had a deep affection for animals, especially stuffed animals, with a particular fondness for pandas, which held a special place in her heart. This gentle love reflected her compassionate character, extending beyond people to the creatures she so dearly admired.

She is survived by her devoted partner, William Morris; her daughter Roseanna Morris and son-in-law Zach; her sisters-in-law Dianna Morris and Tina Morris; her brothers-in-law Joel Blair and Richard Morris. Bobby, as well as Destiney Morris (Taylor), and Destiney's children Clair and Bobby, and her nephew Joshua Morris. Each held a treasured place in Janie’s life, enriched by her loving presence and spirited nature. 

Janie’s memory is also honored by those who preceded her in death: Bobby Slagle, Jennette Morris, and Francis Hall. Their lives are remembered alongside hers with respect and fondness.

As we reflect upon Janie Loftis’s life, we celebrate a woman whose laughter brightened rooms, whose generosity warmed hearts, and whose selflessness inspired those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to resonate deeply with family, friends, and all who were touched by her spirit.
