Jeanne Marie Amidon

Jeanne Marie Amidon, age 75, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Affectionately known as “Grammy,” Jeanne was the first in her family to place her faith in Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, having witnessed her husband, children, and grandchildren come to know and follow the Lord.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter “Wally” Amidon. She was the devoted mother of Michael (Amy) Amidon and Steven (Brandy) Amidon, and the cherished Grammy of five: Lauren (Patrick) Johnson, Nathan (Sophia) Amidon, Kristin Amidon, Tyler Amidon, and Annabelle Amidon.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held on Sunday, October 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Marietta First Baptist Church. Receiving of friends will be from 1:00-1:45 prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery, 140 Inway Dr., Anderson, SC 29621.
