Jeffrey "Jeff" Shears, a devoted family man and respected professional in the leather sales industry, passed away on April 8, 2026. Born on July 3, 1952, Jeff's 73 years were marked by a life rich with love, friendship, and adventure.
Jeff was widely recognized for his loving, kind, and friendly nature. His personality shone brightly both in his personal relationships and professional life. During his professional life in leather sales, Jeff was also a passionate world traveler, embracing new cultures and experiences with a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm that beautifully reflected his vibrant spirit for life.
Jeff found great joy in the game of golf, cherishing the time it gave him with his son Brent, his beloved wife, and many dear friends. Whether on the course or simply enjoying their company, those moments brought him lasting happiness. He also took great enjoy standing alongside his son Justin at the racetrack, proudly watching him race, moments that reflected his deep love and unwavering support. Jeff was also a world traveler, embracing new cultures and experiences with a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm that reflected his spirit for life.
His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. For 53 years, he was the loving husband of Susan, who stood faithfully by his side through life's many chapters. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family, raising two sons, Justin and Brent. Justin, and his family, and Brent, with his wife and two children of California, carry forward Jeff’s legacy of kindness and strength. He was a proud and doting grandfather, who brought him immeasurable joy. Jeff is also survived by his siblings: Kevin (and Ann Marie) Shears, Patricia Jones, Gregory (and Vicki) Shears, Larry (and Jean) Shears, and Mary Therese (and Brian) Raftery, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Family was a central pillar in his life, and he cherished every relationship he nurtured.
Beyond family, Jeff was a storyteller, captivating those around him with tales that reflected his rich experiences and warm humor. His stories, often shared among friends and loved ones, were a source of entertainment and insight, embodying his engaging spirit.
Jeffrey Shears leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and friendship. His life touched many, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his infectious friendliness, and the deep love he had for his family and friends.
