Jimmy Thornton of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 62

Jimmy was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind many cherished memories and a lasting place in the hearts of his family and loved ones.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Bobby and Gene Thornton, his brothers Danny and Tony Thornton, and his sister Lynn Thornton.

He leaves behind his sister Debbie Jennings Stoner and his brother Shane Thornton, along with his many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. 

Jimmy was a part of the lives of so many people, and his memory will continue to live on through the family and friends who loved him. He will be remembered, missed, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him. Family and friends will gather Wednesday, August 12th, at the home of Mr. Randall Jennings at 212 Thornbury Ridge in Easley between 4 and 6 pm, and services will be on Thursday August 13th, at 3 pm at the Westville Funeral Home on White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC.
