Jo Ann Yonan

Jo Ann Yonan, 81, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, at her home in Greenville, SC.

Born on August 3, 1943, Jo Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose love for her family was unwavering. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick Yonan; her daughter, Dawn Curran; and her grandson, Jason Bratcher, her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and many other family members that she loved dearly. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Jymme Kennon and Jayme Vaughn and son-in-law Hilton Vaughn; son-in-law Jon Curran; grandchildren Michael and Ketti Curran, Bradley and Heather Kennon, Krystal Tillman, Heather Curran and Calvin Jones, Steven and Stephanie Kennon, and Jennifer and Chad Koon. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren Kayleigh Tillman and Ryan Riddle, Christopher Moore and Lauren Kristiansen, Destiny Moore, Ethan Kennon, Blake Moore, Jaylen Tillman, Isaiah Curran, Jakob Curran, Emory Claire Kennon, Mabry Kennon, and Landon Gaskins; and great-great-grandchildren Lillie Ann Rae S and Asher Moore. 

Jo Ann was also survived by her sister Donna Bick and many more nieces and nephews. Jo Ann had a heart of gold. Her deep love for her family defined her life she would do anything she could for those she loved. She took immense pride in being the matriarch of a large and loving family that spans five generations. Her warmth and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
