John Robert “Bob” Chandler, 90, of Easley, SC died on February 20, 2026. A longtime resident of Greenville, SC, Bob was predeceased by his wife, Betty Lee Chandler. They shared 66 years of loving marriage.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Cathy (husband George Allen) of Columbia and Lynn Chandler of Greenville. He is also survived by his brother Walter Chandler of Columbia and many Chandler, McKittrick, Bowers and George family relatives.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Mildred McKittrick Chandler and Olin B. Chandler and sister Elizabeth Albright, all of Columbia.

Born in Laurens, SC, Bob was a graduate of Newberry high school and the University of South Carolina. Bob had a long career as a Controller with Milliken and Company. A two year assignment for Milliken took Bob and Betty to Belleville, Ontario, Canada in 1986. Bob and Betty were devoted members of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville.

Bob, a Gamecock supporter and fan of sports had many friends in Greenville including golf, travel, dance, exercise, dinner and church groups. He and Betty attended classes at Furman University and frequently attended music, theater and sports events in the region.

The family would like to thank the employees of Foothills Retirement Community and VIA Health Partners.

Memorials may be made to the organization of one’s choice.

A memorial service will be held on March 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Foothills Retirement Community, 205 Bud Nalley Drive, Easley, SC.
