Born on June 4, 1941, John spent his career as a dedicated sales and administrator at Mount Vernon Mills, where he was respected for his professionalism and his ability to forge lasting relationships.

An avid golfer and skilled card player, John was a long-time member of Holly Tree Country Club, where he enjoyed many happy memories with friends. His competitive spirit and known prowess at playing cards made him a favorite among his peers as he often outsmarted even the toughest opponents.

John is survived by his loving wife, Carolynne, and a close-knit family, including his sister Margaret Ann Pritchard (Ron), his daughter Sandy Puckett Knox (Terrell), and his son Mike Hinds (Monica). He was a proud grandfather to Jay Puckett, Will Puckett (Morgan), Lexie Puckett, Alex Hinds, Emma Hinds, and Ashley Palmer, and a joyful great-grandfather to Declan Puckett. John also leaves behind cherished nieces and extended family who will remember him fondly.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Cascades for their exceptional care and love during John's final days. In honor of John's life, a celebration will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to gather and share their memories of a truly remarkable man.
