Justus Wyatt Holt

February 16, 2001 — July 24, 2024

Greenville, SC

Justus Wyatt Holt, affectionately known as Justus to some and Wyatt to others, passed away on July 24, 2024, at the age of 23. Born on February 16, 2001, in Greenville, SC, to John and Kisha Holt, Justus was a beacon of adventure and spirit in the lives of all who knew him. His sudden departure in the very town he was born leaves a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.

Justus graduated from Woodmont High School in 2019, where he was known for his contagious energy and rambunctious nature. He channeled his passion into his professional life as a skilled electrician and welder, contributing significantly to the maintenance crew at Fitesa in Fountain Inn. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by his colleagues and friends alike.

Family and friends were the cornerstone of Justus's life. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Kisha Holt; his sister, Piper Holt, who endured his harassment with grace; his brother, Stetson Holt, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond; his cherished grandmother, Sylvia Roberts; and his late grandparents, John Holt, Sr. and Olivia Holt, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. Justus also leaves behind his devoted girlfriend, Makenzie Brzak, his motorcycle crew—Sam, Mason, Colie, Peyton, and Kanish—as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his adored niece and nephew.

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Justus relished the freedom of the open road, often accompanied by the roar of engines from his close-knit crew. He treasured moments spent with Makenzie, embracing every opportunity to create lasting memories. His sister, Piper, frequently found herself the target of his light-hearted jests, although they argued about everything, they shared a special bond. Throughout his life he spent time with his father, John, riding horses and welding. He had his mother, Kisha, under his thumb since birth, molding her to his will with just a smile and flash of dimples. He was her blue crayon; the one that colored her whole sky. Justus was the life of the party, always ready to stoke a bonfire to the rhythm of music and laughter, with a crown apple and sprite in hand, recounting stories that only he could tell with such humor and vivacity.

Justus was the embodiment of an adventurous soul, spirited in his every pursuit and courageous in the face of life's twists and turns. His tales of escapades and encounters were legendary among his friends, and his ability to turn any gathering into an unforgettable event was unparalleled. His quick wit and sharp-tongued banter made him unforgettable in any conversation. The echoes of his laughter and the warmth of his presence will be sorely missed by all who loved him.

To say that Justus was the heart and soul of his community would be an understatement. His legacy will be carried on in the countless stories shared by those whose lives he touched, the smiles he brought to faces, and the indomitable spirit that he instilled in his friends and family. Justus Wyatt Holt was a remarkable young man whose time on this earth, though brief, was filled with the kind of adventure and love that most people can only hope to experience.

As hard as it is to say goodbye, we take solace in knowing that his journey continues beyond this world, on roads untraveled and adventures yet to be had. His spirit rides on, guiding us with the same courage and joy that he shared so generously. We will cherish his memory, honor his legacy, and forever hold him in our hearts.

Justus Wyatt Holt's life was a testament to living fully, loving deeply, and laughing often. He has left an indelible mark on this world, and his story will continue to inspire those who remember him. Rest in peace, Justus. Your adventure has just begun.
