The life of “Sissy”….. Karon Lorraine Bolin, born to James and Clara McDonald on April 24, 1959 in Dallas Texas. Karon resided in Greenville SC at the time of her death on January 22, 2026.

Karon, known as Sissy and/or NaNa to most lived life like most people wished they could. She was full of adventure, creativity, courage and pure rawness. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”, was a true testament of how she lived each day. Karon was blessed with 3 children. Her oldest daughter Dalesa, mom to Hunter and Kensleigh. Daughter Brande and husband Charlie with children Waylon, Jaxen and Olivia and her only son Brandon, wife Cheri and their only child Des. Nana missed meeting her first great granddaughter, Romee Jane by 5 days. Sissy was most happy when being around any member of her family. Sissy was loved by her two brothers Kevin and wife Angie, younger brother Keith and wife Robbin. Sissy was also close with her 3 nephews (Richard, JD and Tyler) and niece Brittnay.

Sissy always came with a beautiful smile and left you with a story to last a lifetime. When Sissy arrived, she was usually accompanied by her little road dogs, Izzy and Lu. NaNa also enjoyed her many many grand-dogs that she and daughter, Dalesa, rescued throughout the last couple years of her life. She found treasure wherever she went and was known to be a great gift giver and enjoyed sharing her unique finds. Sissy enjoyed giving and this brought her happiness.

Sissy was never scared of what hand she was delt in life and played her cards to always get the most out of the moment. She was not one to dwell on things and believed in forgiving and moving on. To have known Sissy was to have truly lived life. She will easily be remembered for the never-ending stories we were so lucky to have been apart of.
