Taylors, SC

Katherine Faye Voyak, born on June 29, 1955, passed away at home peacefully with her daughters in South Carolina, where she had resided since 2016.

Katherine, affectionately known as Kathy, grew up in Clarks Hill, Indiana, and attended Clarks Hill Elementary School. At the age of 13, she moved to a farm near Battle Ground and continued her education at Battle Ground Junior High and Harrison High School before transferring to North Montgomery High School in Montgomery County, where she graduated in 1973.

After graduation, Kathy relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she worked behind the scenes at Walt Disney World Resort for several years. She later returned to Indiana, earning an associate degree in Phlebotomy and securing a position at White County Memorial Hospital. Eventually, Kathy settled in the mountains of Tennessee before moving to Anderson in 2016.

Kathy was baptized in 1967 at Clarks Hill Christian Church and was an active member of Bridge of Hope Church in Anderson. She loved her church family & teaching the children.

She is survived by her four children: Gabe Palmer (South Carolina), Kayla Palmer Wade (husband Josh Wade; South Carolina), Marisa Husseman (South Carolina), and Stephanie Voyak (Indianapolis). Her grandchildren—Gabriel Jr., Samantha, Elijah, and Hannah Palmer; Myles, Daisy Faye, and Greysen Husseman; and Eden Arabella Voyak—were the joy of her life.

Kathy is also survived by six siblings: Robert (Hank) Hines (wife Lori), Judi Hines Stanfield, and Dean Hines (all of Lafayette), as well as Brian Dunbar (wife Lisa) and Barbara Ann Kasting (both of Iowa). Additionally, Everett Reddick—Marisa's father and a dear friend to Kathy—remains a cherished part of her story.

Katherine Faye Voyak will be remembered for her love of family and her unwavering faith.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
