Kimlerlin Darlene Cannady Wells, affectionately known as Kim to her friends and family, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 26, 2025, in Easley, South Carolina. Born on April 13, 1964, in Laurens, South Carolina, Kim's life was a testament to her loving, selfless, and generous spirit.

Kim grew up in the warm embrace of Laurens, where she was a beacon of kindness. Her early years were shaped by the love of her parents, the late Thomas Edwin Cannady and Mary Ann Bramlett, as well as her stepmother, Leona Cannady. Kim's life was further enriched by the close bonds she shared with her siblings, including her late sister Cathy Jean Simmons and her late sister Carol Beaman. She found strength and camaraderie in her brothers, Rob Wells (Michelle), Terry Glenn Cannady, Gary Dean Cannady Sr. (Kristi), and Thomas Eugene Cannady (Pam). Kim was predeceased by her brother in law William Wells. 

After completing her high school education, Kim embarked on a career that showcased her exceptional people skills and leadership abilities. She excelled as a retail manager and later channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into becoming a successful small business owner. Her work ethic and dedication to her profession were admired by all who worked alongside her.

Kim's zest for life was evident in her varied interests. She was a talented crafter, whose creations brought beauty and joy to many. An avid fisher, she found solace and excitement in the tranquility of nature. Kim's love for the mountains was profound, and she cherished the moments spent watching the bears and reveling in the serenity of the wilderness.

Above all, Kim's heart belonged to her family. Kim is survived by her husband Landy Rea Wells and she was a devoted mother to her children, April Dawn Wells(Justin Spence) and Timothy Rea Wells. Her love extended to her beloved niece, Kimberly Danielle Simmons, and Elijah Gansz who will always hold a special place in her heart. Kim's legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her unwavering love and guidance will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to be part of her family.

Those who knew Kim will remember her for the warmth and care she extended to everyone she met. Her selflessness knew no bounds, and her generosity was felt by many. Kim's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, kindness, and the joy of shared experiences with those she held dear.

Kimlerlin Darlene Cannady Wells, will be celebrated as the remarkable woman she was. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her extraordinary spirit.
