Leslie Roy Hayes, affectionately known as Les, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on August 9, 1946, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Les lived a life marked by service, creativity, and an enduring sense of humor that touched all who knew him.

Les proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from November 30, 1964, until August 8, 1968. His dedication during these years reflected his steadfast commitment and strong character. Following his military career, Les found joy in various pursuits that showcased his creative spirit and playful nature. A lover of nature, he especially cherished feeding and watching birds, a pastime that brought him peace and pleasure. His inventive side was evident in his passion for making and painting model cars, a hobby through which he expressed his artistic talents. True to his personality, Les was a jokester at heart, delighting in making others laugh and bringing lightness into everyday moments. His faith provided a meaningful foundation throughout his life, guiding his actions and relationships.
