Leslie Jesinkey

January 9, 1947 — April 18, 2025

Simpsonville, SC

Leslie Jesinkey, born in New York City to the late George and Irene Leonard, passed away peacefully at her home. She was predeceased by her beloved partner, George (1943–2020), and her daughter, Courtney (1977–2021). She is survived by her three children: Brian Jesinkey (Shannon), Alison Jesinkey, and Sean Jesinkey (Carrie); and three grandchildren: Riley Ann, Reagan, and Ethan. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who were family in their own right.

Leslie was a lover of art, books, travel, and culture. She enjoyed spending time with friends, decorating, gardening, and cooking, and had a keen eye for fashion and beauty trends. She stayed engaged with current events and loved discovering new restaurants. She never met a stranger and had a sharp sense of humor and quick wit. She will be remembered for her warmth, independence, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures—especially time spent with her dog, McGuire, and the music of Paul Simon.

Leslie spent much of her career as a production manager, known for her creativity and precision. She was also a devoted volunteer at Triune Mercy Center, supporting individuals facing homelessness and addiction. Her kindness, strength, and honesty touched many lives.
