On September 10, 2014, Lilian Parker Argo went to be with her heavenly Father and her husband of 46 years, Grady A. Argo.
Surviving is daughter, Elizabeth Roper and grandchildren, Scott Gibson, Brook Gibson, Heather Lee, Stefan Lee and Jonathan Argo along with six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by daughter Carol Lane Lee, son David Lee Argo, brother Norman Parker and sisters, Irene Slinger and Olwen Haworth. Born 1923 in Middleton, England, she was the daughter of Fred and Alice Keate Parker.
Lilian came to South Carolina as a war bride in 1947 and was proud of her dual citizenship. She was known for her award-winning knitting and many babies wore the booties she made. She was a member of Snow Creek Baptist Church and a resident of Argo Road for over sixty years.
It is with great love and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to the family’s matriarch. We will miss hearing her nightly prayers for "my little family".
Visitation at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 20th at Snow Creek Baptist Church. Memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm. Flowers are accepted or memorials made to Oakway Rescue Squad, PO Box 62, Fair Play, SC 29643.
