Linda Kay Bridges Massey, born on March 13, 1944, peacefully passed away on April 4, 2026. Throughout her life, she was cherished by many and leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, devotion, and dedication.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Gregory Massey Sr., with whom she shared many years of companionship and mutual support. She was also the daughter of the late Bessie Bell Tucker Bridges and William Paton Bridges.
Linda’s children include Susie Owens, Donnie Kay Bridges (Lisa), KO Lee Bridges, James Gregory Massey (Barbie), and Shan Ray Massey.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, James Donnie Bridges (Jessica), Cassie May Bridges, Brandon Massey, and Taylor O'Neal, great grandson, Dillion Ryan Bridges (Caitlyn), great great granddaughter, Madely Bridges, her special brother-in-law, Newman Sonny Massey (Judy), and a special friend, McKinse.
Throughout her life, Linda Kay Bridges Massey exemplified grace, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She will be remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends as a beacon of strength and warmth.
Her passing marks the closing of a remarkable chapter, yet her spirit and the values she held dear will forever endure.
A visitation will be held at 12 p.m., and the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Forestville Baptist Church, 2 Old McElhaney Rd, Greenville, SC 29617.
