Linda
Morgan
July 2, 1943 — July 24, 2026
Greenville, SC
Greenville, SC-Linda Hall Morgan, 83, passed away on July 24, 2026, at the Woodlands at Furman. She was the beloved wife of Ronald H Morgan of Greenville, SC, for 63 years. She was mother to Mitch (who preceded her in death), Zack (wife Eloise), and Nana to Zack and Eloise’s daughter, Elise, all of whom she dearly loved.
Linda was born July 2, 1943, in the Little River community in North Carolina and moved to the Cathey’s Creek community in North Carolina when she was very young. She graduated from Rosman High School in 1961 and married on Thanksgiving Day in 1962. She also attended Greenville Tech for two years, where she was an honors student. Before retirement, she was employed by Furman University, where she enjoyed delivering mail to the Furman University community.
Besides loving her family, Linda loved wildflowers, hiking, music, and traveling. She could hardly wait each Spring to see the wildflowers bloom again. Her favorite way of worshipping was expressed through singing. She sang in the choir at both Taylor's First Baptist Church and Easley First Baptist Church in the alto section. Her idea of a perfect day was picking blueberries along the Blue Ridge Parkway with her family or hunting wildflowers along a good hiking trail with friends. Her passion, humor, and the special way she saw things will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Although she lived in various places in the South, her heart was always in the mountains of western North Carolina.
In addition to Mitch, she was preceded in death by her parents, Alda and Cynthia Hall; brothers Junior, Kenneth, Billy, Clinton, and Danny; and sisters Marvita Galloway and JoAnn Hunter. She is survived by her husband, Ronald, of Greenville; son Zachary, wife Eloise, granddaughter Elise; all of Charlotte, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special “Thank You” to all the dear ones at the Woodlands who took care of Linda so faithfully and lovingly.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Easley First Baptist Church, 300 E 1st Ave, Easley, SC, with visitation to follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alzheimer's Association .
