Greenville, SC

Lisa Renee Charles, affectionately known as Lisa to her friends and family, passed away on May 5, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 60. Born on October 16, 1964, in the rolling hills of West Virginia, Lisa's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.

Lisa's early years in West Virginia were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the natural beauty of her surroundings. Her life was a rich tapestry woven with the love of her family, including her beloved daughter Nicole Charles, her devoted boyfriend of 12 years, Joseph Moore, and her late husband, Gordon Charles, who predeceased her in 2013. Lisa's legacy continued through her sons, George Charles, who is engaged to Destinee Sizemore, and Gordon Charles II, along with her daughter-in-law, Holly Segee. As well as her son Adam Charles who predeceased Lisa in 1996. Her life was further blessed with the joy of her grandchildren, Zachary Charles and his wife Trinity, Isabella Charles, Rocki Charles, Chad Gilliland, Ava McBride, Skyler McBride, Gordon Charles III, Azriel Charles, and Adam Charles. She also had the delight of knowing her great-grandson, Zander Charles.

Lisa's family circle extended to her siblings, who shared in the tapestry of her life: Linda Charles, Barbara Johnson, Trish Anders, and Janice Kirk, along with her late siblings, Thelma Charles, Tina Gibson and Corbitt Charles. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the moments they spent together.

Professionally, Lisa dedicated many years as a cashier at TD, where her warm smile and genuine kindness made her a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. Her work was not just a job but an opportunity to connect with her community and spread a little joy every day.

Beyond her work, Lisa was a woman of many passions. She found solace and pleasure in wood burning, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her artistic spirit. Gardening was another of Lisa's loves, and she could often be found tending to her plants, nurturing them with the same care and attention she gave to her family. But above all, Lisa cherished family time. Whether it was a large family gathering or a quiet evening with loved ones, those moments were the ones she treasured most.

Lisa's character was the epitome of loving, selfless, and generous. She gave of herself freely and without expectation, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her selflessness was a beacon of light to all who knew her, and her generosity knew no bounds. Lisa's love was a gift that she shared unconditionally, and it will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

As we say goodbye to Lisa Renee Charles, we celebrate a life that was rich in love and joy. Her memory will live on as a reminder of the beauty that can be found in the simple things and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we hold dear. Lisa's spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family, a legacy of love that will continue to bloom in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

Lisa's journey through life was one of grace, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her memory will be a comforting presence, reminding us to live with the same kindness and generosity that she embodied every day.
