Lisa Diann Tranter, a cherished production manager for the symphony at the Peace Center, passed away on May 30, 2026. She was born on November 5, 1963, and throughout her life, she was known for her loving nature and her warm, friendly demeanor that touched the lives of everyone she met.

Although she had been away for eight years, Lisa was currently employed by the symphony, and dedicated twenty-eight years of her life to the symphony, where her expertise and dedication as a production manager helped bring countless performances to life. Her commitment to the arts and her role in enriching the community with music was much admired and respected by colleagues and audiences alike.

Outside of her career, Lisa’s passions were deeply rooted in nature and family. She found great joy in spending time at the beach and on the ocean, particularly enjoying the tranquility and freedom that came with riding the boat. More than anything, Lisa treasured the moments spent with her grandchildren, delighting in their company and the happiness they brought to her life.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Brad Smith, who stood by her side through the years. Her devotion as a mother is remembered in her children, Brandon Black and his wife Amanda, and Trista Tipple and her husband Paul. Lisa’s legacy also lives on through her five grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her affectionate spirit and joyful presence.

Lisa Diann Tranter was a remarkable woman whose vibrant personality and unwavering love made a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
