Lois Annette Easler, born January 25, 1943, passed away on July 28, 2026, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. Lois’s journey was one marked by deep connections and unwavering care, especially as a devoted homemaker to her children and an ever-present pillar of support to all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Lois was a woman of many talents. She skillfully dedicated herself to domestic arts and delights, excelling in crochet, quilting, leatherwork, and sewing. Her hands, ever gentle and industrious, crafted warmth and comfort not only through her creative endeavors but also through the delicious meals and beautiful cakes she lovingly prepared. Lois’s kitchen became a haven where family gathered, stories were shared, and traditions passed from one generation to the next.
One of her greatest joys was found in her role as grandmother. Her love for her grandchildren was evident in every quilt stitched, every cookie baked, and every laugh echoed in their company. She nurtured not just her children but also her grandchildren and the extended family, enriching their lives with the gift of her time and unconditional affection.
Lois’s memory will be particularly treasured by those who remain to honor her legacy: her dear sisters, Norma Trabers (Tom) and Nancy Ray (Patrick); and a large circle of family and friends who were touched by her warmth, including her children Susan Skelton (Ted), Nancy Byars (Tommy), Michelle Anderson and Jimmy Halterman. Her grandchildren Milton Skelton (Kaitlin), Gary Byars (Sarah), Olivia Byars, Preston Anderson (Yvonne), Bryson Skelton, Logan Anderson, Spencer Halterman, and her beloved great grandchildren, Wells Skelton and Sloane Skelton,
Lois is reunited with those who went before her: her husband, Wayne Easler and her brother Sonny Shirley (Mary) whose memories and influence linger lovingly in the hearts of all who remain.
Family and friends are invited to honor Lois’s life at a memorial service, to be held on July 31, 2026, visitation at 10:00 a.m. with funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Lenhardt Christian Fellowship, 223 Lenhardt Rd, Easley, SC 29640. Together, those who loved her will gather to remember her gifts, her laughter, and the boundless love that she gave so freely throughout her years.
