Lori Kent, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 59. Born on August 31, 1966, in Dothan, AL, Lori's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and her passion for her work in cosmetology.
Lori's journey began as the beloved daughter of her late parents in the warm, southern town of Dothan, where she cultivated a life-long love for her community and the beauty it held. Her vibrant spirit and caring nature were evident from a young age, traits that would define her throughout her life.
As a devoted mother, Lori's pride and joy were her children. She is survived by her son, Sean W Kent, and her daughter, Shelly B (Marcos) Olivares. Lori's world was further brightened by the laughter and love of her grandsons, Everett Olivares, Elliott Olivares, and Landen Kent. She was a guiding star in their lives, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds. Lori also held a special place in her heart for Stefani Walker, whom she loved as an honorary daughter. Although her son, Branden Bayless, preceded her in death, she carried his memory with her every day, ensuring his spirit lived on through her love and stories. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Virginia Wood.
Lori's professional life was marked by her dedication to the art of cosmetology. She was not only a talented stylist but also a confidante and friend to her many clients.
