Lucille M. Jones passed away on January 22, 2026. Born on September 9, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Demps and Lula McJunkin. Lucille dedicated her life to caring for others, showcasing a profound compassion that touched the lives of countless individuals. Lucille was also a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church

Throughout her life, Lucille found joy in a variety of hobbies. She had a passion for hand quilting, often spending hours crafting quilts by hand. Her love for crocheting doilies and bedspreads added warmth and beauty to many homes.

Lucille leaves behind her beloved nieces, Bonnie Zucchi (Dan), Glenda Dillard, and Judy Ellenburg, as well as her nephews, David O’Shields, James, Ray, and Curtis McJunkin  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her nieces, Deborah Henry, Mildred Smith, and Dianne Kay, and her nephew, Ervin McJunkin.

Lucille will be profoundly missed but forever remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the warmth she extended to all who knew her.
