It is with loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Margie Marie Jenkins of Greenville, South Carolina.

Margie was a woman of strength, determination, and faith. Her life touched countless family members, friends, and members of her community. She attended the historic Sterling High School in Greenville, South Carolina, and was later baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith remained an important part of her life.

A dedicated entrepreneur for more than 50 years, Margie built a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and service. She inspired those around her and demonstrated the value of determination and independence.

Margie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Tony C. Gambrell of Charleston, South Carolina; Tina M. Gambrell of Charleston, South Carolina; Timothy A. Gambrell of Greer, South Carolina; Tammy L. Jenkins of Taylors, South Carolina; and Tracy Y. Jenkins of Taylors, South Carolina.

She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. John Henry Gambrell and Mrs. Elvira Gambrell, as well as her siblings: Henry Gambrell, Annette Gambrell, Charles Gambrell, and Sammy Gambrell.

She is survived by her sister, Johnnie Mae Harmon of Greenville, SC

Margie will be remembered for her strength, spirit, devotion to family, and the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the generations that she helped shape and that will continue to live out her legacy.

Her memory will be cherished forever by all who loved her.
