Maria Esperansa Rico, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, in her hometown of Greenville, SC, at the age of 24. Born on December 3, 2000, to Maria Esperansa Rico and Jose Torres, and later lovingly raised by Moises Robles and Mercedes Terc, Maria's life was a testament to the power of a loving family. Her brothers, Alexander and Jesus Robles, along with Jesus Torres, shared in the joys and adventures that filled her days. The family's roots were further strengthened by the guidance and love of her grandparents, Martin Rico and Silva Gonzales, as well as the support of her aunts and uncles, Edith, Teresa, Jimmy, Alejandro, Jorge Rico, Ernesto Robles, and Verenise Hernandes.
Maria's journey through life was marked by her insatiable love for books, which opened worlds of imagination and learning that she treasured deeply. Her passion for literature was matched only by her enthusiasm for amusement parks, where she sought the thrill of roller coasters, embracing the joy and excitement they brought to her life. Maria's zest for these simple pleasures was infectious, and she could always be counted on to brighten a day with her presence and a smile.
A graduate of high school, Maria's academic achievements were just one facet of her multifaceted personality. Maria approached every person and every situation with a warm heart and an open mind, embodying the very essence of compassion in her every action.
Maria's legacy is carried on through her loving family, who will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering kindness. Her life, though brief, was a vivid tapestry of love and joy that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Maria's absence will be deeply felt, but the light of her spirit will continue to shine in the lives of her family and friends.
Her story is not one of sorrow, but of a life lived with boundless love and a spirit that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her journey. Maria's memory will be treasured always, a reminder of the beauty and grace that she brought into our lives.
