Mark attended Greenville High School, and he was always interested in expanding his knowledge of his favorite subjects. He had a penchant for the stories of mob lore, an interest that added a layer of intrigue and excitement to his personality. His love for rap music was well-known, and he enjoyed creating his music.

He was predeceased by his brother, Roger Chandler, and his sister, Becky Chandler Barrett, both of whom he missed dearly. His surviving sister, Kimberly Chandler Pryor, will remember Mark as not just a brother but as a best friend, someone who was always there with a kind word, a joke, or a shoulder to lean on. He was an uncle to two nieces and two nephews, whose lives he enriched with his playful spirit. Mark's legacy will continue to live on through his five great-nieces and two great-nephews, who will grow up hearing legendary tales of their great-uncle's kindness and humor. His absence will be felt deeply by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
