Mark Allen Goad, born on April 3, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Greer, South Carolina, at home surrounded by his loving family after a very long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia.

Mark loved his family, friends, golf, Nascar racing and helping anyone in need. Golf became his lifelong career and he excelled at it. Working for his idol, Jack Nicklaus, as Golden Bear Golf VP of Sales was the one of the highlights of his career.

He leaves behind his loving wife Lisa Louise of 46 years, sons Nicholas Noel and Christopher Allen, grandsons Finn Oliver and Nolan Jasper. He is also survived by his sister Lori Matthey (Tom), brothers in law Michael Suciu (Marion) and Kevin Suciu (Randy Nathan). He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Michael Goad. A special thank you to Susan H. Simpson for staying and caring throughout this years long journey. We love you.

With immense gratitude I want to thank Pruitt Hospice for caring for Mark like he was family. Lainey Tucker you are loved. Also to caregivers Lesha Tucker and Faith Sullivan from First Light Home Care for their exceptional care and dedication.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you are among his old golfing buddies, please go play 18 holes in honor of Mark and toast his memory after.
