Yvonne Voyles, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 6, 2026, in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Born on August 25, 1939, in Shiloh, Georgia, Yvonne graced the world with her presence for 86 beautiful years. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and faith, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Yvonne dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker. Her warmth and nurturing spirit created a haven for her loved ones, and her home was always filled with laughter and love. A true embodiment of thoughtfulness, she poured her heart into volunteering at her church and often delighted those around her with her exceptional culinary skills. Yvonne derived joy from spending time with her fur baby, Penny, whom she adored dearly.
Her personality shone brightly with every interaction. Yvonne’s friendly nature and sense of humor made her a treasured companion, and her loving demeanor endeared her to everyone she encountered. She was not just a mother; she was a confidante and a source of unwavering support and encouragement for her family.
Yvonne is survived by her beloved son, Alex Voyles, and her cherished daughter, Brenda Edwards (Greg), who carry forward her legacy of love, her brother Robert Lee Whitson (Alice). She was also a proud grandmother to Kelly Dickson (Wicks) and Daniel Edwards (Drayton), and she found immense joy in her five great-grandchildren, who brought light to her days.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Whitson, who nurtured her into the incredible woman she became. Their love lives on in the values and memories she imparted to her family.
A memorial service to honor Yvonne's remarkable life will be held on January 14, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Simpsonville, located at 3 Hedge St., Simpsonville, SC 29681 in the Chapel. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the legacy of a woman whose life was marked by love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Yvonne Voyles will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever inspire those she left behind to live with the same love and kindness that she so generously shared throughout her life.
