Mary (Naomi) Chapman, aged 82, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. Born on February 7, 1943, in Easley, South Carolina, Mary led a life that was a testament to love, kindness, wisdom, and selflessness. She brought warmth and comfort to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
As a dedicated homemaker, Naomi embraced her role with an unwavering commitment, creating a nurturing and inviting home for her family and friends. Her heart was woven with threads of country music, a passion that brought her joy and companionship throughout her life.
Naomi is survived by her loving children: Christopher Clayton and Wayne Chapman. She cherished her role as a grandmother and took great pride in her grandchildren: Timothy Porter, Sabrina Slone (husband Kevin), Austin Chapman (wife Megan), and a great grandson Anakin Slone. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she imparted her wisdom and love to them, creating lasting memories that will be remembered fondly.
She was preceded in death by her daughter's Lisa Chapman, Marie Clayton and beloved grandson, Allen Chapman, whose memories will forever remain cherished in the hearts of her family.
