Mary Jane Elser Brummer, a devoted registered nurse, cherished collector, and beloved wife, passed away on April 5, 2026. Born on April 15, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mary Jane's life was marked by dedication, passion, and the warmth she shared with her community.

After completing her education at Misericordia University, Mary Jane committed decades to nursing, where her compassionate care touched the lives of countless individuals. Her professional journey reflected a deep commitment to healing and service, qualities that defined her character throughout her life.

Beyond her esteemed career, Mary Jane found joy and fulfillment in her avid collecting of dolls and antiques. A founding member of the Schoenhut Collectors’ Club, she nurtured connections across the country through her involvement with various doll collectors’ clubs.

In 1963, Mary Jane married Carl Brummer, spending 63 years together. Their enduring marriage was a testament to mutual love and steadfast companionship. She is survived by Carl; their children Jenny, Carl, Christine (Michael), and Joseph (Richard); as well as her grandchildren Erin, Megan, Morgan, James, Tobias, Sterling, and Sawyer. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Anne Elser, whose influence remained a guiding force throughout her life.
