Caron
August 2, 1959 – March 23, 2026
Michael A. Caron, 66, of Laurens, South Carolina (born in Maine), peacefully passed away on March 23, 2026 with his wife, Dawn M. Small Caron, by his side; exactly how Michael imagined.
Michael worshiped the Lord and shared the Bible. Riding motorcycles, playing cornhole, hunting, lobstering and fishing were his favorite pastimes. He gained many friends traveling for work as a multi-craftsman. While traveling for work (with his wife), he earned the nick-name “Yankee”, which evolved to “Yank”. During retirement, Mike had many skills that he continued to use and continued D&M Mobile Welding.
Michael leaves behind his wife and the light of his life–Dawn; mother–Aletta Ricker; children–Paul Caron and Cristie Hodsdon and son-in-law James; grandchildren Logan Caron and fiancé Hailee Buzzell, their son–Jaxson Caron, Lillee Hodsdon, Ema Higgins and future grandson-in-law Adrien Melanson; brothers–Raymond Caron and wife Valerie, Wayne, Scott and Kenneth Caron, Leon Grant; sisters–Pamela Sullivan and husband Mike; Nancy Lambert and husband George, Theresa Toothaker and husband David, Debra Tusburg, and Claudia St. Andrew; and many nieces and nephews.
Michael was predeceased by his father–Raymond Caron, sister–Lynda Berube, grandson–JJ, best friend–Roy Gibbons, beloved pets Tri and Stormie.
There will be a celebration of life and a graveside gathering held in August and the family is asking folks to reach out for details.
