Michael Jason “Jason” Leopard, 55, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away on October 20, 2026.
Jason grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, where he attended Lakeview Middle School and Greenville High School. During his professional life, he worked in retail, technical support, and customer service.
Jason was a whiz at Math and Science with a knack for Chemistry. He was a voracious reader favoring the works of Roger Zelazny, Anne McCaffery, and Jim Butcher. He loved all things
Science Fiction and Fantasy from comic books and RPG's to movies and TV shows. He was as generous as he was stubborn and as kind as he was loud. He loved his friends and his family and most of all, he loved his wife Erica. He cooked a great steak, told the best stories and was the greatest DM to ever roll a D20.
Jason is survived by his beloved wife, Erica; his mother, Sarah Sulene Robertson Hamam; his father, Amjad N. Haman; his mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Carol and Roy Dotto; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Adam and Lori Hoffman. He also leaves behind a large circle of friends whose lives were made richer by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Viola Robertson and his father-in-law Warren Hoffman.
For those who knew and loved Jason, his absence will be deeply felt. But he leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, friendship, and memories that live on.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time and place to be determined.
