Beloved wife, mother and grandmother Nancy H Smith (Holcombe) went home to Jesus on May 8th, 2026. Born on September 8, 1949, in Greenville, SC, to John Will and Mary Holcombe. Nancy was a lifelong resident of the Dacusville Community.

Nancy graduated from Dacusville High School in 1967 where she met her High School Sweetheart, Larry. They were married at Antioch UMC days after graduation. Shortly after she traveled with Larry who was stationed in Virginia Beach for military service. They returned to Pickens County and had one son, Michael in 1971.

Nancy worked in retail clothing stores as a manager and was owner of Buster Brown Bootery in Easley SC. She retired in 2014 to enjoy spending time with her grand babies and the rest of her family.

She also devoted herself to Christ United Methodist Church where her husband Reverend Larry Smith serves as pastor since 2001.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother Wayne Holcombe and sister Mary “Sue” Shirley. Her Sister-in-Law Margret Smith and her brother in Law Mark Anthony.

Nancy was an avid crafter who could recreate anything she found on Pinterest. She found joy in being outside planting flowers. Most of all, Nancy enjoyed being around family; especially her grandchildren which she adored.

Nancy's life was marked by love and a deep commitment to those around her. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, wisdom, and generosity. We were blessed to have had Nancy in our lives and will cherish the memories we have of her.
