Nicholas Wayne Therrell, known as Nick to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Greenville, SC, at the age of 51. He was born on August 27th, 1973, in Bishopville, SC. Nick lived in his beloved state his whole life, but enjoyed traveling to beaches in North Carolina, his place of serenity. Nick was a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of all who knew him.
Nick's early life in Bishopville was filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. He was the cherished son of Linda Shealy and Wayne Therrell, a beloved brother to Windy Levesque and the late Chad Therrell, and a doting uncle to his niece Audrey Levesque. He loved his family tremendously and was always there in time of need for everyone. He was the cornerstone of his family. He took every opportunity to be with his family.
Nick's attention to detail was unmatched, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Nick's friendly nature made him beloved among his peers. The lasting relationships he built at work over the years were meaningful to him.
He was an avid lover of cats, having many over the years. Nick was somewhat of a cat whisperer; cats were attracted to him immediately. Nick's love for antiquing reflected his love for interior design, and he could often be found perusing local shops in search of hidden treasures. Nick loved watching home remodeling shows with his niece- and loved critiquing the choices people on the shows made. An avid reader, Nick's extensive collection of books was a testament to his love for literature and his constant pursuit of knowledge. Nick had a dream of someday owning a bookstore, which we hope he is doing in Heaven.
Those who knew Nick would describe him as funny, friendly, and intelligent. His selflessness touched the lives of many.
As we bid farewell to Nicholas Wayne Therrell, we celebrate a life lived with love, passion, and an unwavering love for family and friends. His memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and his spirit will forever be a cherished presence in our hearts. Nick's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy of laughter, friendship, and wisdom will endure.
