Noah Franklin Garrett was born on September 1, 1937. Franklin was raised in Greenville County by his loving parents Noah and Elizabeth Staggs Garrett. 

Franklin graduated from Ellen Woodside Highschool in 1957, and was a proud veteran of the US Army. He then went on to work at Woolworth Distributing Services, where he would later retire. In his free time, Franklin could be found fishing, golfing, or showing off his award-winning classic 54 Mercury. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Thelma Foxx Garrett, stepson; Jimmy Smith, loving niece; Peggy Heatherly, as well as his seven siblings and various family members. 

Franklin leaves behind his partner Linda Peters and her family members, Neil, Brittany, Briley, Brevin, his step-daughter; Pamela Smith, granddaughter; McKinley Heatherly , and special nephew Randy Foxx. A special thanks goes out to nieces Tammy Landreth, Tina Bolden ,and nephew Benji Bolden who showed a great deal of love and care to Franklin. 

A graveside service for Noah Franklin Garrett will be held at Greenville Memorial Gardens on Thursday, March 26, 2026  at 11:00 am.
